Urban.co
Formerly Urban Massage, Urban.co is a wellness-focused tech start-up that enables users to order massage therapists and beauticians directly to their door.
As their sole designer, I provided design solutions for various outputs. I worked with city managers to expand our app’s rollout to new international markets, including France and Austria. This challenge required translating, localising, and repurposing existing marketing assets, including photography, social ads, email pushes, bus and metro advertising, and billboards.
Other ventures at Urban included event branding for a major race through the centre of London and coordinating photography and videography marketing shoots.
Acting as a touchpoint for users on both the client and supplier side of the app, as well as a demanding team of stakeholders, was a fulfilling growth opportunity.
signage
One of the most thrilling aspects of leading the design for Urban was enjoying creative control over large-scale print marketing campaigns. I could see my designs in the Paris Metro, on London buses and tubes, and even in the marquees of Vienna.

EVENTs
A common issue that tech wellness start-ups often face is a lack of public brand awareness, particularly for a service that has traditionally been marketed as a luxury product. Urban's event planning and marketing concentrated on introducing the end product to users, allowing them to familiarise themselves with the brand and experience the benefits of the service first-hand.

Calligraphy
Over the years, I have cultivated a talent for calligraphy and handmade type, making it gratifying to incorporate this hobby into social and promotional brand marketing for Urban. There is a personal quality inherent in creating these assets by hand that is hard to replicate.
